Welcome to coley church

The congregation of St John the Baptist, Coley has a distinctive strong instruction bible based faith with a lively Young Church, Home Groups and wide support network of ministry within the parish. 

We at Coley, seek to help people come to know the love of God in their lives and reach a deep understanding of the death and resurrection of Christ, through Bible study and preaching.

Members of the Church are encouraged to deepen their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and grow nearer to God and experience the power of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.  We reach out to those around us and help them find Christ and bring comfort to those who are hurting or in need and we welcome visitors with the love that Christ would show.

We have a thriving friendly congregation with 130 members attending regularly for worship. We have three services on a Sunday that involve people worshipping for a total of over 5-6 hours. The Church Wardens and the Parochial Church Council aim to make our church more suited to modern worship, to make it a place where people feel comfortable to worship God and meet with other Christians for prayer and biblical teaching.  We participate in activities in the local community.

We know that we don’t do it on our own – we all need help – we all need Jesus.

St John’s the Baptist Church, is a loving congregation that aims to find ways to “let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith”.
