Weddings

weddings at Coley Church
To be married in the Parish of Coley, you have to fulfil the following requirements:1) You are both 18 and over
2) Neither of you have been married before, either in Church, or elsewhere
3) One of you lives in the Parish or has a strong connection to the Parish
The Church’s decision in these matters is final.
Generally, we are very flexible on wedding dates and will try to accommodate you where possible. You can get married on any day of the week. Legally it has to be between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. However, on a Sunday, due to our normal services, we can only offer between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The first step is to contact the Rural Dean, Rev'd David Burrows Tel: 01422 373184, and arrange an appointment to complete the booking form. At this stage, Mark will go through all the details of the wedding and what needs to be done. The Church takes care of most things to do with the service, but you will need to choose your music and hymns.
We do welcome participation by members of your family, for example, someone singing or reading. If you have a member of the Church of England clergy in your family, they are welcome to take the service.
We have an excellent choir who can be booked to sing at your wedding. A member of our Church is a professional flower arranger and is available to organise your flowers in church.
