So what happens at YC?
Each Sunday morning, the children gather in the Church Hall,
a short walk from the main church on the opposite side of the road.
At 10.15am the children sit in a circle for some prayers, chat and worship, and
may be a game. A collection is taken and a candle is lit. The children all know
that this is to represent Jesus being the Light of the World.
The style is very warm and caring in order to include everyone, from the older, sometimes pretty vocal, boys to the very youngest and quietest. Sometimes there is music and sometimes prayers are shouted out, it all depends on what the theme is for that day. There are lots of laughs but also times for quiet thinking too.

Then the children break into three groups. The youngest (from two-and-a-half with a parent/carer on hand or three without) go off into the smallest, cosiest room where they will hear a Bible story and often play a game or make something to take home.
