There is still this major stumbling block. We still aren't very good at doing the right thing.

Justice is a bit of a problem. If someone does something wrong they need to be dealt with. That is why we have courts of law. In the same way, God needs to see that justice is done and that everyone is treated fairly. The problem is that we have all done something wrong. No-one can say that they are totally good and have never done anything wrong. If we think we haven't we probably aren't being honest with ourselves.

So people have to be treated justly. Unfortunately not having a relationship with God means walking away from eternal life.
