Volunteers are needed
to deliver envelopes during Christian Aid Week 11th – 17th
May. It can be a difficult task but the money raised changes lives

Tea Party – Saturday 7th June in Coley Church Hall between 10:00 am
– 12:00 noon. There will be a Cake
Stall. Tickets are £1 and includes
coffee and biscuits and can be purchased from members of the Social Committee,
for a small extra charge why not enjoy a piece of home-made cake with your
drink.
In June the Joint
Churches Social Committee are holding two social functions. Friday 6th June you are invited to
‘An Evening of Melody’, from 7:00 pm onwards and for the first time will be
held at Lightcliffe Golf Club. During
the evening a pea and pie supper will be served the entertainment will be
provided by a group of singers from New Mill Male Voice Choir, with a variety
of songs from their repertoire. The
evening is in support of Breast Cancer Care.
Tickets are £6 including supper.
The second event is a
Canal Cruise on Saturday 28th June.
The cruise will start from Shepley Bridge Marina near Mirfield at 10:30
am, cruising towards Brighouse on the Calder and
We shall be booking
Spring Harvest on 18th June this year for 14th –
19th April 2009 at Butlins, Skegness. Spring Harvest is an
amazing experience with fantastic teaching and worship, lots of activities
for children of all ages, leisure options, great accommodation, in fact
something for everyone – you can join in as much as you want. The
cost for a silver s/c apartment is £157 pp, children 2-14 years £142. If
we book 20 adult places we will get a free place which will bring the cost

to purchase sports equipment and teaching resources to support work with
children in disadvantaged communities in

is doing the Sahara Trek between November 6th – 10th 2008
in aid of the local Marie Curie Hospice in
